Every great production needs more than a cast — it needs a crew. At BHS Theater, volunteers are part of the family, and you choose your role. Step into a lead part by joining the BTB leadership team, or take your place in the ensemble as a concessions volunteer, bag stuffer, or day-of helper. However you show up, you matter.
Before the show and during intermission the concession stand is open to sell water, pop, chips, and candy. This volunteer opportunity will typical last 30 minutes. Concessions volunteers receive two seat holders to claim their seats in the PAC before the house opens, and you get to wear a cool button.
Bagging for Tips at the Buffalo, MN Cub Foods is a huge fundraiser for our department. Students will arrive at cub wearing BHS Theatre gear, and offer to bag the groceries of the Cub customers. Those customers can then choose to give a tip donation. We won't be as successful if we don't have students and parents to fill the volunteer slots.
Before the show and during intermission the flower stand is open to sell carnations and a gram to send to your favorite actor and/or technician. This volunteer opportunity will typical last 30 minutes. This is a great way for our department to raise money.
Each Halloween season, Buffalo High School Theater students hit the streets of downtown Buffalo to help local businesses during the community Trick-or-Treat event! For two hours, our cast and crew—dressed in spirited costumes—assist merchants by greeting families, handing out candy, and bringing Broadway-level enthusiasm to every doorstep. It’s a fun way for our students to engage with the community while sharing information about our fall musical.
Local shops can request student helpers by emailing Publicity@buffalotheater.org, or alternativley complete our signup form.
